Unique Photographic Safari Experience in the Kruger National Park
As a standalone family business, diversity and experience sits at the center of what we do. There are many ways photographers on safari can take advantage of this incredible location as Londolozi’s unique position lies within the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. This means that incredible photographic safari opportunities present themselves on each and every game drive. From the smallest of creatures crawling around on the ground, to the indescribable feeling of watching a pride of lions silently move past your vehicle at dusk, or the graceful beauty of a leopard ascending the trunk of a Marula tree. The detail of a leopard’s whiskers or the backlighting of a lion’s mane can truly help you fall in love with nature whilst capturing these moments.
Here at Londolozi, you will be guided by our experienced and passionate guides, who are skilled in finding wildlife, positioning the vehicle and assisting with the camera settings to ensure you are in the best possible position to capture the perfect moment creating memories to last a lifetime. We provide you with all the ingredients for a successful African photo safari: private reserve, experienced rangers and trackers, long experience in safari photography.

Visiting Londolozi may be a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list trip for some and to others, like so many of our guests, it may be something they do every year as their ultimate nature fix. With that being said, gone are the days of having to lug large bags of camera equipment around with you, everything you need can simply be pre-ordered and waiting for you on arrival.
Once you have pre-ordered or selected your camera equipment, whether it be a camera body, a lens, or one of our recommended Canon or Nikon kits, the studio managers will arrange for its use to be ready for your game drive. If you are having trouble trying to decide what equipment to rent, we would gladly give you assistance pointing you in the right direction based on your photography experience level and interests.

First-time photographers on safari can also try out the latest telephoto lens and body setups by requesting the equipment at the lodge. If you want to capture a close-up of a leopard in a tree, a fish eagle in flight or zebras grooming each other, the photographic studio has the right lens to get you the perfect shot.
With a wealth of photographic experience amongst the studio managers, we have extensive experience in recommending what gear will provide the best outcomes for each photographer’s unique needs. We want all of our guests to experience this incredible feeling we like to call the “Londolozi effect” a feeling one simply cannot describe and should not miss the opportunity to capture.
